How Do You Shop Local?
Shopping Local simply means buying from a local business

Here are some easy ways to do it:

  • Support local artisans when buying candles, soap, handcrafted jewelry, furniture, and more
  • Buy fruit & veggies from a farmer's market or CSA
  • Shop at a local hardware store as opposed to a big box store
  • Have a local baker make your birthday cakes, holiday desserts and cookies
  • Buy from independent book sellers instead of Amazon
  • Eat at independently-owned restaurants not national chains
  • Use local craftspeople to repair and refurbish furniture or broken household items instead of throwing them away
  • Attend SHOP LOCAL CBUS events!
Why Should You Shop Local?

meet the creator

At our SHOP LOCAL CBUS events most of the booths are manned by the artists themselves!  Build relationships within the community with the artisans who created the products you are buying.

HiGH QUALITY ITEMS

When supporting local small businesses, you will enjoy higher quality, unique and one-of-a-kind items. People love receiving a gift with a story behind it so shop for gifts at a SHOP LOCAL CBUS event!

MONEY STAYS LOCAL

Shopping Local returns 7x the money to the local community compared to buying online.  Every purchase made at our SHOP LOCAL CBUS events helps a local family and they, in turn, spend that money in Central Ohio.

unique community

Spending $$ with one-of-a-kind businesses at a SHOP LOCAL CBUS event keeps the community feeling like home not just a bunch of national chains.  Local businesses contribute more to local charities further helping the community at large.
Who Is Shop Local CBus?
Shop Local CBus was started by two local moms and business owners who were looking to help other small business owners get more sales and exposure.  They saw how hard it was to find an appropriate location to sell their products and wanted to help change that.  They partner with local venues to help offer an affordable solution to expensive craft fairs and vendor events.
